Project and Contents Description
The 10,000+ collection of student papers consists of personal combat experiences, historical studies and research of the United States Army officers attending the many officer courses at the Infantry School, Fort Benning, GA, from 1922 to the late 1990s. The battle accounts and first hand experiences range from World War I, World War II, the Korean War, the Vietnam War and other conflicts following 1980. It represents the intellectual talent of research and education that soldiers receive from the faculty and staff at the U.S. Army Infantry School and its divisions. Prior to this effort these materials were only accessible through on-site visits.
